It’s a scary thing; moving on. Part of me wishes life were more predictable and part of me is excited that it’s not. I think it’s impossible to tell the good things from the bad things while they’re happening.

I am

If there’s one mantra I can say with confidence is useful, grounding, simple, and true, it’s this:  “I AM”.  These are some powerful words.   We are constantly defining ourselves, by race, gender, sexual preference, hobby, interest, occupation, nationality, religion, etc.  We are so tied mentally and spiritually to these words.  When we wrap our identities so heavily in the things to which we think we belong, we limit ourselves.  We think that we ARE these things. But in reality, we aren’t anything.  We aren’t the words we use to describe ourselves, positive or negative.  All we are is all we are which is everything and nothing. This mantra grounds us in that fact.  When we just ARE we eliminate our egos, our fears, our perceptions, our expectations, our limitations so we can just be.

Never idealize others. They will never live up to your expectations. Don’t over-analyze your relationships. Stop playing games. A growing relationship can only be nurtured by genuineness.
